Speed camera in Italian town issues 58,568 tickets in two weeks
Speed cameras have long been torturing drivers near and far. The devices are hooked up to radar detectors and, when they catch a car going past at a speed higher than the posted limit, they snap a photo and initiate a citation for that driver. They're extremely useful, if not hyperactive, for the towns and cities where they are used, but a bane to drivers. This has never been more on display than in a small Italian town that recently reported it snapped 58,568 offenses in just two weeks.
According to a report from the BBC, Acquetico, a town in the corner of northwest Italy (between Genoa and Nice, France) has approximately 120 residents. But because a major road, SS28 Nord, passes through, it is heavily trafficked. This prompted the town's mayor Alessandro Alessandri to set up a trial speed camera as a response to numerous complaints about speeding in the 31 mph (50 kmh) zone. The results were mind-blowing.........

We first saw this darker-than-dark Bimmer at the end of August, and if you thought those images were photoshopped, here is a video....
At the top are Lexus and Toyota once again, with the GX as the most reliable Lexus and the Prius C as the most reliable Toyota. Subaru, Kia, and Infinity have also stayed in the top six spots, though Mazda made a huge leap from 12 to number three. That leap, CR says, comes courtesy of Mazda “[working] out problems that plagued the CX-9 SUV and MX-5 Miata roadster.”....
One particularly interesting bit regarded the shooting brake, which Nurnberger said, "we sort of started it and then realized to make a really good shooting brake we had to do a lot more engineering." Thus, the long-roof Vanquish actually has a longer wheelbase than the rest of the cars. According to Nunberger, the rear of the car is taken from a modular platform and is essentially a rear of a Rapide that has been added on. Of course, that required total reengineering, retesting, as well as re-crashing to bring it to production......
