Wheel Alignment | sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of wheels so that they are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear.
Also ensuring that the vehicle drive is straight and true.
Alignment angles can also be altered beyond the maker's specifications to obtain a specific handling characteristic.

After a short discussion about the Leh Keen’s lap in the cop car, the group moves onto the Honda Civic Type R, which will run the same course. There’s a brief introduction of the car that explains why it’s such a capable front wheel drive performance machine. Then, like the cop car, Keen puts it through the paces.....
One particularly interesting bit regarded the shooting brake, which Nurnberger said, "we sort of started it and then realized to make a really good shooting brake we had to do a lot more engineering." According to Nunberger, the rear of the car is taken from a modular platform and is essentially a rear of a Rapide that has been added on. Of course, that required total reengineering, retesting, as well as re-crashing to bring it to production......
