It’s been less than three years since the sixth-generation Camaro first went on sale, but Chevrolet decided to update the Camaro’s styling for 2019. Designers didn’t mess with the cabin, powertrain, or chassis, so aside from an updated infotainment system, the changes are almost entirely cosmetic. As it turns out, it hasn’t been uncommon for the owners to beat the 3.5-second metric published by Tesla. Eric Strait took his new Model 3 Performance out early on and used his VBOX to record results around the 3.3-second mark. However, that was during a first run and the car didn’t have a full charge. He headed back out later with a full charge and substantiated previous claims of a whopping 3.18-second time.

It's called the GPV Colonel, and it was originally manufactured by a company called General Purpose Vehicles in Michigan. A quick internet search shows the manufacturer builds several such vehicles designed for military use, but exactly how Yadlowsky and his partners came upon this particular machine is something of a mystery. Another quick internet search shows Yadlowsky and GPV headquarters are only about 45 miles apart, so that could have something to do with it.. ....
